Zoom asking for full disk access on Mac?

I searched the help topics and couldn't find an answer as to why Zoom might need full disk access in System Prefs > Security & Privacy > Privacy. I understand of course why it needs camera/mic/screen recording access, but not this.

    Hello @kimslawson,
My name is Brandon. Thanks for joining the Zoom Community! This is a preference, but if you want to take advantage of file share in a meeting or file share on Zoom chat then the app will need full disk access in order for you to pull from the meeting or chat window to your computers finder window. That is the reason that it asks for full disk access.

    Thanks,

    Brandon

    Hello YaBoiB,

Thanks for that answer, but why does Zoom need _Full_Disk_ privileges? the only other Apps on my mca that want full disk are Terminal.app and my anti-malware software.  Every other app asks for access to specific directories, and I can toggle them on and off.  This is a serious security and privacy issue.
