Working on Google Docs together in Zoom

Hi there!

I've recently started using Zoom for my online classes. I would like to "screen share" a shared Google doc during our call, so we can both type in it. I know I can screenshare a tab in my browser, but then I won't see my student's face while working on it. Does anyone know a solution for this?

Many thanks!

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @KarenP1! We're glad to have you here!  If you’d like to see both the Google Doc and your student during a Zoom call, try a simple split-screen setup: open the Doc on one side of your screen and keep Zoom on the other in Gallery or Speaker View. If you have dual monitors, even better, you can dedicate one screen to the Doc and the other to Zoom for a cleaner, more spacious view.

For an even smoother experience, consider using Zoom Docs instead of Google Docs. Zoom Docs are built right into your meeting, so you and your student can collaborate live without switching tabs or sharing your screen. It keeps all conversation and content in one place.
