Hello, @Luke Samuel!

Welcome to the Zoom Community! It's great to have you here.

I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering Zoom error 1001. I understand how inconvenient it can be when you're unable to join or host a meeting as expected.

Zoom error code 1001 typically indicates an issue with the meeting host's Zoom account, such as the account being disabled or restricted.

If you are a participant:

  • Contact the meeting host and ask them to check the status of their Zoom account.
  • Request a new meeting link once the issue has been resolved.

If you are the host:

  • Verify that you're signed in to the correct Zoom account. (This error code may occur if you are signed in with a Zoom account outside your organization, such as a personal or external work or school account.)
  • Check your Zoom account for any account notices, admin messages, or restrictions.
  • If your Zoom account is managed by an organization, contact your Zoom administrator to confirm that your account is active and authorized to host meetings.

If you continue to experience this issue, please let us know whether you're joining as a participant or hosting the meeting, and we'll be happy to help investigate further.

hi @Luke Samuel ,

Error 1001 means you broke Zoom’s terms of service, and the account was restricted.
Zoom can also ban that device from ever using Zoom again, so I hope it was a small transgression.

All the best
