Webcam refuses to work in latest version of Zoom Workplace
After upgrading Zoom to the latest version several users can’t get their webcam to work. It just shows a black preview box, no error messages. If you try to test the microphone, the test button doesn’t do anything. Again no errors.
Webcam privacy is all allowed in Windows 11, I tried resetting the camera settings in windows, deleting the zoom profile folders, uninstalling zoom entirely and reinstalling - nothing fixes this.
The camera works just fine in MS Teams and the built in Camera app in windows/settings.
This is happening with multiple laptop types (Dell, HP, Lenovo) and even plugging in an external webcam doesn’t solve it.
I have tried messing with every option in the ‘Video and Effects’ panel, nothing seems to make any difference.
Any ideas? It makes no sense at all to me.
