WARNING -- Local recording is NOT POSSIBLE when hosting meetings via Web Browser
My Zoom meeting did not record on my computer. I was not aware I had to download the Zoom Workplace app to do this. I've been hosting meetings from my browser for YEARS, and my settings were set to "Automatically record meeting on the local computer" (which did NOT do anything at all!)
Since the process has changed, there needs to be a WARNING MESSAGE that appears before we choose "Join From Browser"!! The lack of this warning has caused me to lose recordings of two very important meetings!
It needs to say "Automatic local recording won’t run if you host from the browser. Local recording requires hosting from the Zoom Workplace desktop app."
I have submitted this feedback to Zoom, and I wanted to warn everyone here so you don’t lost important recordings like I did!
