When participants join your Zoom meeting before you admit them, they’ll see the Waiting Room screen. What they see depends on how you’ve customized your waiting room settings in the Zoom web portal.

By default, participants see a simple message that says something like “Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon.” This screen includes your meeting name and may display your profile picture or organization logo if you’ve uploaded one.

You can also personalize the waiting room with a custom message such as “Welcome to our group session! We’ll begin shortly,” which helps set expectations or share brief instructions like “Please have your camera on when admitted.”

For Business or Education accounts, you can add your logo, image, and custom description so participants see your organization’s branding while they wait. Participants cannot see or hear anyone in the meeting while in the waiting room, nor can they chat or unmute until you admit them.

    How to Customize It

    1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
    2. Go to Settings → Meetings → Security → Waiting Room Options.
    3.

    4. Click Customize Waiting Room.
    5. Add your logo, title, and description text.
    6.

    7. Save your changes — they’ll apply to all meetings using the waiting room.
