It is possible to interact with participants in the waiting room before the admin allows to enter to the main room? Is That Possible to have an interactive waiting room?

Hi Edujose,

The waiting room is essentially a virtual "lobby" where participants wait until the host admits them into the main meeting room. Unfortunately, Zoom does not allow direct interaction between participants and the host or other participants while in the waiting room. Here’s what you can and can’t do in the waiting room:

What You Can Do:

  1. Host Message: The host can customize a message that will appear for participants in the waiting room. This is where you can give instructions, let them know the meeting will begin soon, or anything else you'd like to communicate.

  2. Allow Video: You can enable video for participants while they're in the waiting room, so they can see the waiting room environment (but they won't be able to interact with each other).

  3. Admit Participants One by One or All at Once: The host can admit participants manually one at a time or all at once, but there’s no interaction before they're brought into the main meeting room.

What You Can’t Do:

  1. Interactive Waiting Room: There is no way for participants to interact with the host or each other in the waiting room. It's a passive space, and any interaction (like chatting, video calls, or screen sharing) is not allowed until they are admitted into the meeting.

  2. Collaborative Features: You can’t share content (such as videos, polls, or presentations) in the waiting room. It’s just a holding area before the meeting begins.

I hope this helps!
