Video shows background but not me

I have a logi web cam.  Everything was working well.  I could show my background, however, you can't see me.  While that does have some benefits, it's not very professional.  Any ideas how to fix it?

First, turn off the background and make sure that your face is properly framed by the camera and that your face is well lit so the camera can see the color of your eyes. The software uses facial recognition to distinguish your face and body from the background.

Second, turn the background back on.

It is best to use a green screen if you have it. If so the screen needs to be evenly lit.
