Video Auto-framing glitch?

Hi,

I have video auto-framing toggled off, but it continues to do it no matter what. I have checked my camera on the laptop separately and there is no auto-framing happening, just through zoom...anyone else? Every support I find just tells me to choose to turn it off and I have, it's just not working.

Thank you,

Deanna

I tried the auto framing in my end it is currently working and no issue in disabling it.

Please make sure that it is disabled in the settings of your Zoom Workplace App.

Click on your small profile picture located at the top right corner > settings> video and & effects > Auto framing

During the meeting> click on the arrow up beside the Video Icon located at the lower left corner > auto frame video

@Deanna3 , can you please let us know the exact make/model of camera you are using?

Can you also provide the version of Zoom and OS you are running, so we can better assist?

I’m having the same issue, quite frustrating.

I have checked that it is turned off in settings of Zoom workplace App and turned off during the meeting.

Zoom Workplace 6.7.2 (72191)

Mac OS Tahoe 26.2

Hello,

The most likely cause of this if you are a Mac user is a built in Apple feature called Center Stage that auto frames your camera.

Here is a link to a Zoom support article that explains how to disable Apple’s Center stage feature;

I had a similar issue but found a different fix.  I’m using Zoom Workplace on a Macbook Pro M5 running Tahoe OS 26.2 and Zoom version 6.7.5.  I could turn auto framing on or off but it still auto-framed.  very annoying.  When first joining a meeting there was a message to connect my iPhone to use the camera and I always just closed the popup.  I finally clicked OK.  The iPhone is now on the list of available cameras but now the auto framing control works regardless of which camera is selected.  It auto frames when on and does not when off.

Mac centre stage is great when you want it and annoying when you dont.
