"Unable to start Live Performance Audio" Error

I use  zoom to do an online karaoke room twice a week, and I noticed in the last update  (5.14.7)  the "Live Performance Audio" setting, but an unable to evaluate it because I get the following error "Unable to start Live Performance Audio"  when attempting to turn it on from the upper left hand corner, where I turn on Original Sound as well.

We're both on Mac OS

Same error message: works well for normal zoom meetings but within a webinar?

Tested it again after 2 hours and now it seems to work. No understanding of the reason. Perhaps test again too?

it's currently not enabled for webinar (due to potential performance issue)

Am having the same problem.  Am not able to switch Live Performance Audio from OFF to ON by clicking on the upper left hand corner banner on the Zoom meeting screen, either.  I was not in a webinar.  I am using a Windows PC.  The other party in the Zoom call WAS able to turn  it to ON.  She was using a Windows laptop.  Any suggestions for me?

One possible reason is the CPU is not powerful enough. Maybe you can try on a Mac.

same here - stopped working after upgrading to Sonoma this week - before it was just fine. Need it regularly to sing in a meeting, in my PMI actually (not webinar)

I have Sonoma, and Zoom Workplace is all updated, and my Live Performance setting is working. It was odd to activate it within audio settings, but then when I clicked the toggle in the banner from Live Performance Off to On, it worked fine. My computer has 8 cores, so that probably helps! Good luck to all.

I am having an issue turning on the Live Performance Audio option in zoom, runnnig zoom version 6.4.4.  Checked sound/audio settings and all are set properly.  All windows updates are current.  Running windows 11 on an HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2, Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7600U CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2904 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s).  Restarted windows audio services and nothing seems to work.  I tried using the original settings and it no longer works for the purpose we need it for.  We use zoom in a church setting for live music and singing at the same time, it worked fine with the original settings for 2 years and then one day it just stopped working all together.   How can I fix this issue?

Hi, by "it no longer works for the purpose we need it for", do you mean the music gets suppressed? did you check if you have Bang & Olufsen Audio Control installed on your hp laptop? if so, please help disable audio processing on it to see it salves the problem. thanks

I have the same issue. It's suppressing any audio other than voice

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @Mattski2000! We're glad to have you here. There are known Zoom video and audio issues on macOS Sequoia, especially for users on version 15.1.0. The recommended solution is to update your device to macOS 15.2 or later.

Thank you for your warm welcome, but as you can see from my post I'm on 15.6.1 - so I'm well past "macOS 15.2 or later"
