unable to report on iphine on 6.7..5

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I am unable to see the option to record while on a zoom meeting through my iPhone. I click on the three dots but the option is not there to record nor save to system. My classmates are able to record and are using the free version as well even during my zoom meeting they are able to record.

    Hello, @Manuel Pineda!

I’m sorry for the late response. On iPhone, the Record button may not appear for Zoom Workplace Basic (free) accounts because local recording isn’t supported on iOS devices.

Recording from a phone uses Zoom’s cloud recording feature, which is available only when the meeting host has a licensed (paid) Zoom account with cloud recording enabled.

That’s why reinstalling the app didn’t change the setting — it’s related to the account permissions rather than the device itself.

A few things to check for your class:

    • If you are not the host, the host would need to allow participants to record or assign you as a co-host.
    • If the meeting host is using a Basic (free) account, cloud recording will not be available during the session.
    • Classmates who are able to record may be:
    – recording from a computer, where local recording is supported, or
    – joining a meeting hosted by a licensed Zoom account with cloud recording enabled.

You can check out this link for more information.

    I hope this helps.
