Unable to add invitees from Contacts when scheduling a meeting

In the past, I have been able to add invitees from my Personal Contacts simply by starting to type the first few letters of their names.  But according to Zoom  Support, that is no longer possible.  I contacted support, and they confirmed this is no longer possible, and instead, suggested I use Google Calendar to integrate with Zoom, but this makes everything more difficult and cumbersome.  Alternatively, they suggested I created my own email to everyone I want to invite and then include the link to the Zoom meeting.  But when they use the link from the Meeting Scheduler, everyone’s name appears as the owner of the meeting.  (Then are able to “rename” themselves, but again, this is very cumbersome for them unless they all know how to do it.)

Next, I asked if there was a way I could import a long list of email addresses to invite to the meeting.  Support told me that “unfortunately, I must enter each name one-by-one.  This is most cumbersome.  Imagine I have a meeting with 30 to 40 of my workers.  I asked if I could create a template with the names of the meeting invitees to attend to future meetings, but the templates do not save the invitees names or email addresses.

Finally, I asked if I could include notes in my meeting invitation, such as the Agenda for the meeting, but this is also not possible.

Very, VERY, disappointed with Zoom meetings.  Time to find another software that works better.  Perhaps Google Meet.

Come on Zoom Team!!  Any update on this? I’m sure it was an intentional change that needs to be reconsidered. You don’t improve a platform by removing features from users who pay for the platform. Not a move in the right direction. This needs to be turned back on asap.

That does sound frustrating, especially for recurring meetings. If you're inviting the same group regularly, using Google Calendar or Outlook integration is currently the easiest workaround since it lets you reuse contacts, add agendas, and manage attendees much more efficiently than Zoom's built-in scheduler. Hopefully Zoom brings back native contact autocomplete in a future update.
