Tips to Make Zoom Meetings More Engaging and Less Exhausting
Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Zoom regularly for meetings, classes, and team discussions, and one thing I’ve noticed is that keeping participants engaged can sometimes be a real challenge—especially in longer sessions.
I wanted to start a discussion and also share a few simple strategies that have worked well for me:
- Use short interactive segments: Breaking meetings into smaller parts (discussion, polls, Q&A) keeps energy levels up.
- Encourage camera participation (but don’t force it): It helps with connection, but flexibility is important.
- Leverage Zoom tools: Features like reactions, chat, and breakout rooms can make sessions more dynamic.
- Keep meetings concise: Shorter, focused meetings tend to be more productive and less tiring.
- Assign roles: Having a moderator or note-taker helps keep things organized.
