Switch between multiple sets of camera/speaker/microphone

We have a conference room set up with big screen, camera, and mic/speaker on the table.

 

When someone wants to use this for a Zoom meeting, they connect the cables - but they also have to change Zoom's settings for camera, mic, and speaker. When they go back to their desk or on the road and want to use Zoom, they have to change Zoom's settings again.

 

This is a) cumbersome, and b) hard for some of our technically-challenged users to cope with.

 

Is there any way to switch between groups of settings? Spelunking through AppData, it appears that settings are buried in a number of database files. (I was hoping for an ini or json file)

There are numerous solutions. My preference is to setup a PC connected to all the hardware with Zoom installed then use realvnc to do a remote desktop connection to that computer. This allow any computing device to connect (even an iphone), permits access control, allows tech support to connect while someone else is connected, permits easy training, and permits true remote operation.

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave you an "accept" so you get rep points, and it would clearly work with tech-comfortable users, but I would be interested to see some more of your numerous solutions.

 

I see pain in trying to train our tech-phobic staff who currently have trouble switching between microphones in Zoom how to use realvnc. Add the issues of needing to log into the new computer (2FA required by our organization), and then into its Zoom using the appropriate credentials (since the person using this setup will usually be the host of the meeting), and making sure the documents to be shared are on or available to the new computer.

 

We may need to do something like this, but it could have been so much simpler if Zoom had some sort of "profile," or even just stored settings in teakable .ini or json files.
