Simultaneous connection (PC and phone) to same Zoom session

The internal mic on my PC does not work but my cell phone works as advertised. Can both the PC and the phone be used simultaneously to participate in a single Zoom session ?  Thanx.

Hi @BewilderedBob - welcome to the Zoom Community.

Absolutely. You can use your PC for the video and your phone for the audio in the same Zoom meeting, it's the perfect workaround for a faulty mic.

  1. Open the Zoom meeting link on your PC and join the meeting with video only
  2. When the audio pop-up appears, or by clicking the microphone icon's upward arrow, choose “Use Phone for Audio” (Note: Please don’t select "Join with Computer Audio”)
  3. Your Zoom screen on the PC will now display the information needed to join the audio, including a Dial-in Number, the Meeting ID, and your Participant ID
  4. Join the Meeting from Your Phone (Audio Only) by Opening the Zoom mobile app and call the Dial-in Numbers provided on your PC screen and just follow the voice prompts

I hope this helps, thank you.

I was able to join Zoom meeting in other way than Arleen mentioned (although I didn't think it was possible 😉).
What I did was:
1. Joined the meeting from my PC client. In audio/video settings window that shows before joining I've selected "No audio" option.

2. After that I've joined from my mobile Zoom client logged to the same account. Select a desired meeting from calendar and click blue Join button, not "Switch" that is being shown on top of screen when you are in "Home" tab.
In there I had my camera turned off, but audio was selected.

Order of joining does matter.

As a result - I've joined meeting twice, with camera enabled on my PC and with audio from my mobile device. Order of joining
