The issue is most likely the tablet itself. The View menu and the Request Remote Control option you are looking for are available in the Zoom desktop app, but they do not appear in the same way in the Zoom mobile or tablet app, so your student will not find View on her tablet even when remote control is enabled in your settings.

The most reliable fix is for her to join that lesson from a laptop or desktop computer instead. Once you are sharing your screen, she should then see View at the top of the meeting window, and from there she can choose Request Remote Control. You will get a prompt to approve it, and you can take control back at any time by clicking your mouse or tapping to stop remote control.

If she has to stay on the tablet, a useful workaround is to turn on annotation for participants instead. She can then draw, point and write on your shared screen without taking over the cursor, which works well for working through a problem step by step. Alternatively, ask her to share her own screen for that part of the lesson, so she can work through it while you talk her through it.

It is worth doing a quick test run before the lesson, on the device she will actually use, so you know which option works for her.
