remove read.ai

Please help I have the same issue and its wasting my time and making me mad. I don't want read.ai yet it keeps joining my meetings. Why should I have to go and kick it out every time? I don't want it.

Working on a mac.

I don't see why I should change my settings for meetings - please instead telel me how to get rid of it - without having to wade through articles either?

Here is a little explanation on WHY Read.ai joins meetings:

• Read cannot join a meeting unless invited by a user. In order for Read to join a meeting, the following steps would need to take place: (i) user creates an account, (ii) user connects a calendar and gives Read permissions, and (iii) user reviews the join settings. If you would like more context on how Read joined a specific meeting, please reach out to support@read.ai for assistance.

• Removing the Zoom app does not stop Read from joining your meetings. You must delete your Read account to prevent Read from joining any meetings, including Zoom meetings and other platforms

• To remove Read completely you will need to delete your Read account which you can do so here: Read AI. If you have trouble logging in to your account or are unsure if you have an account please reach out to support@read.ai for assistance

Here are some steps that you have to take in order to deactivate/delete Read, so it will stop joining your meetings:

• To delete Read, go to https://app.read.ai/analytics/settings/user/other and select “Delete my account”. After deletion, all data is wiped from Read AI’s servers (not recoverable)
• To adjust when Read joins meetings, you can adjust the join preferences at https://app.read.ai/analytics/settings/user/assistant
• To determine if and how reports are shared, you can adjust your Reporting preferences at https://app.read.ai/analytics/settings/user/reporting-

IMPORTANT If you have already deleted your Read account and are continuing to see Read join your meetings, there are only two possible explanations:

1. Somebody else invited to your call is also using Read (note that they don’t need to actually attend the meeting in order to add Read, they just have to be invited)
2. You unintentionally created a second Read account, which is still configured to have Read automatically join your calls

To check which one of these scenarios can be happening, Read will send a message to the meeting chat at the start of the meeting after it joins, listing the name(s) of whoever invited it to the call. If you see your own name listed here, then that would indicate #2 is the explanation. In this case, you should:

• Search your emails for messages from support@e.read.ai (e.g. the “Welcome to Read!” message that goes to all new users)
• Check the address on the “to:” line; this is the primary email address of your Read account
• If you have multiple email addresses, you should check all of your inboxes
• Your account may have been created using single sign-on (SSO) (e.g. login with Microsoft/Google/etc), so make sure to try these options if you aren’t able to login with email+password
