Remove hyperlinks in meeting summary next step notes

Yes, it was only recently, perhaps the last Zoom update, that the whole bullet was a hyperlink and I could easily remove them all in mass in WORD, now the hyperlink is the actual address added to the end of the bullet line which makes it even more difficult to remove.

Zoom, your users know best as we’ve done hundreds of capturing the AI Summaries and integrated them into major task applications like Google Tasks, Outlook Tasks, etc.) - Please remove or allow an easier removal of links in the meeting summary.  Your task setting tool doesn’t seem like it is ready for prime time as of yet.

Ditto - I don’t want those hyperlinks and now have to take the time go go back and remove them.  Need the ability to do that easily.  I would prefer that they not be there as the standard, and if a person actually wants to include them, then add a check to include them.  

I have the same exact issue. I looked into it and there isn’t a way to turn it off. They suggest reformatting.

Yeah, this is Zoom Tasks integration, it auto-links Next Steps items so they can be turned into tasks in Zoom or connected task apps. Since you're on HubSpot and Google Tasks, it's just extra clutter for your workflow.

For a quick strip, instead of regular paste (Ctrl+V), try Ctrl+Shift+V (paste as plain text) when pasting into your recap email, that should strip all links and formatting in one shot without needing to manually clear each one. If your email client doesn't support that shortcut, pasting into Notepad first (plain text editor) then copying from there into your email works as a reliable middleman, it strips all formatting/links in one step.

Alternatively, some people just copy from the meeting summary's plain transcript/summary text (not the Next Steps bullet section directly) since the linking issue seems specific to that section, then reformat the action items manually. Not ideal, but a workaround until Zoom adds a toggle for this specifically.

I do not think there is currently a setting to completely turn off those hyperlinks in the AI meeting summary.

A simple workaround would be to copy the text into Notepad first and then copy it from there into your email. This should remove the links and keep the text plain.

If you are doing this regularly, you could also use a plain-text editor or a small text-cleaning tool to remove the hyperlinks in one step.
