REMOTE CONTROL ACCESS OPTION NO LONGER AVAILABLE

HELP!!

There is no longer the option for me to give my meeting attendees remote control access. I have checked all my account settings to make sure that I have allowed for this function, but during my meeting, there is no button/option that comes up to give remote control access.

I have an updated desktop zoom app, I only login on the desktop app version, I'm on a pc, the participant is on pc. Neither for them nor for me do we have the option to use remote access.

I've troubleshooted everything, watched multiple videos, read multiple posts, and still nothing is working. Everything that should be on is on in my account for remote access.

Does anyone have any advice? Can Zoom support actually help out with this obvious error that's affecting others?? I'm about to start using a different meeting platform!

@TovitLore

Yea, I sadly learned the location from a customer while helping them. Felt like an idiot.

I still can't find an option for remote control after doing all the above suggestions in this thread

I solved it. I explained in one of my above replies

One of the things I found that was frustrating on the Mac client  (Sequoia) was that I would hit the More button. Then you click Support and see the additional options. However, if you then click out and click back to the More button, the Support option is NO LONGER THERE.

You have to click Reset to Default to see the support option again.

Very frustrating.

The option used to be so easy to access, which was handy. We use it all the time.  Whoever made this UI decision absolutely ruined the product.

And the chatbot is completely useless on this issue. Perplexity.ai found the answer in about two seconds.

@serviceproper  I fixed it:

I have a latest Mac at version 15 and Zoom client at 6.3

Here's how to do it:

1) Once you enable all the remote options inside Zoom app which Zoom support team talks about the most, go to step #2

2) Make sure that you are on Meetings tab, scroll down to “Disable desktop screen sharing for meetings you host”, Disable this option.

3) Open zoom & create a meeting

4) Ask your friend to join this meeting or, use another device and a different Zoom account to join

5) As a host, share your screen

6) Once you share it, open the control tab which hovers around your screen and click on the 3 dots on the right-most side

7) You will find "remote control" option

Note: I haven't tried this is a participant but only as a host. Its possible that if a participant joins you will have to give them host access and then repeat these steps if you are guiding a client/customer and you want remote access to help them out.

Cheers!

How Do You Decide Which Zoom Features to Enable for Team Meetings?

Hey everyone,

When setting up Zoom meetings for our remote team, I often wonder which features are really worth enabling — things like polls, breakout rooms, whiteboards, etc. Sometimes I spend too long deciding which setup fits best for the session.

Recently, I started using a small decision tool — to rank priorities quickly (like engagement vs. time-saving).

Curious how others decide what Zoom features are essential for smooth, focused meetings?
