Hi all. I recorded a meeting and then tried to save it Locally instead of the iCloud and I lost the recording after trying to allow my computer to communicate with Zoom...any ideas if I can still get my recording or is it lost forever?!?! UGH!

Hi @The Spanish Academy,

I’m sorry for getting to you this late. Check these places first—local recordings are often still on the computer, just not where you expected.

  1. Check Zoom’s default local recording folder
  • Windows: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Zoom
  • Mac: /Users/<YourUserName>/Documents/Zoom
  • Linux: /home/<YourUserName>/Documents/Zoom
  1. Check the Trash/Recycle Bin
  • If the files were deleted or moved during the permission prompt, they may be in:
    • Recycle Bin (Windows) or
    • Trash (Mac) Restore/Put Back the recording if you see it there.

Please let me know if this helps. Feel free to reach out anytime.
