Recorded voice / interview on my end gives a reverberating or resounding effect.

Can can anyone help me with my echoing / resounding / reverberating sound issues?

I have already tried everything in the audio settings , for example by changing the setting of echo reduction to high.

There a bunch of other windows specific audio settings in zoom, which I do not understand.

I am using a pretty professional USB-mic by Marantz via Desktop.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi @KeyD,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience and for getting back to you late.

You may try the following to resolve your audio concerns.

To resolve echoing or reverberating sound issues in Zoom with your USB microphone on Windows, try these steps:

  • Make sure your microphone is properly plugged in and not muted.
  • Unplug the microphone and plug it back in.
  • Confirm that your Marantz USB mic is supported by Zoom (supported devices are less likely to have audio issues).
  • Ensure no other applications are using the microphone at the same time.

If you've already adjusted Zoom's echo reduction settings and still have issues, double-check that only one device is being used for both input and output, and that you don't have multiple Zoom sessions or devices joined to the same meeting in the same room, as this can also cause echo.
