Record activities of participants

Unfortunately, Zoom does not provide a retrospective annotation history that identifies which participant created a particular existing mark or covered existing content. The name display feature is designed to identify annotators as they annotate in real time, not after the fact. 

While you are sharing your screen, you can see who is annotating as it happens: 

1. In the screen-sharing controls, click More
2. Select Show Names of Annotators
3. When someone draws, types, stamps, or otherwise annotates the shared screen, their display name briefly appears next to their annotation 

This is the primary built-in tool for identifying who is covering or writing over your content.

To prevent participants from covering your text in future sessions: 

• Disable Annotation for Others: While sharing, go to More → Disable Annotation for Others — this prevents all participants from annotating your shared screen 
• Admin-level control: An account admin can also configure annotation permissions at the account level 

Since the name display is not retroactive, if the annotation already happened and you did not have "Show Names of Annotators" enabled at the time, there is no built-in way within Zoom to look up who made that specific annotation after the fact. 

For future sessions, enabling Show Names of Annotators before participants begin annotating is the most reliable way to track who is making changes to your shared screen content in real time.

Hi Jake,

Normally I can see who draw, name of annotators. But that time, I did not see the name of annotator. 

Is there a way he can hide his name or change his name color to black (background color is black)?
