Poor audio quality when using a bluetooth speaker with iPhone

I am experiencing poor sound quality when using a bluetooth speaker with Zoom on iPhone. It sounds like an old-telephone. Speaker itself is high quality. When switching to iPhone's built-in speaker the sound is fine.
