Please help, media issues with my zoom lectures

I am very frustrated. I teach an online lecture on art history. In the past, I augmented my lectures with different media. I was able to play sound from my Spotify and YouTube accounts, and I successfully embedded my PowerPoint presentations on Zoom without issue. Now I cannot do this, at least not consistently.

Zoom's help site says:  

"select SHARE SOUND"

However, when I do NOT have a SHARE SOUND option!

I ensured that my sound settings were set for my MacBook Pro—still nothing.

I'm beyond frustrated because of all the work I have put in.

Does anyone have advice? It does not say I need an update (I did one recently)

As an audio and broadcast engineer I can tell you that computer audio (especially on Apple devices) can be very complicated. The share sound option is part of the Zoom share dialog window. It may be found on the advanced tab of the share window or in a different location depending on the specific Apple device and OS.

Personally, I find that the MacBook Pro was not intended for the average user and was intended for professionals looking for the many hidden features of Apple's OS and hardware.
