Question

playing music

Before I start a meditation with a client on Zoom, I like to play background music on a CD player located beside me.  Lately my clients have told me that they cannot hear the music well,  that it fades in and out.  What can I do to insure the music can be heard through the same microphone at the same time I a reciting certain words?

    Hi @helenc

Zoom is probably detecting your music as background noise and trying to suppress it.

You can adjust Zoom's Background Noise Suppression settings in your Zoom Audio Settings. There are options for Low/Med/High sensitivity.  You could try the different settings and see which suits your scenario.

While in your Zoom Audio Settings, you could also enable the "Show in-meeting option to Enable Original Sound",  check High fidelity music mode, uncheck Echo cancellation and check stereo audio.

Then when you are in your Meeting you will see an Original Sound button in the top-left corner. Try clicking it ON during your Meeting to see if that helps you also.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi, helenc

    How about the following?
Play background music on the device that is participating in the Zoom meeting.
Then check the audio sharing option and share the screen.

That way, participants can hear the background music at the same time.

Another way is to enable music and professional audio.
