Planing of new Meeting is not possible

Planing of New Meeting in ZHoom-App (on Notebook) is not possible

Discription: I open Zoom-App, everything looks as ever. But when I nlick the  the planing button, an empty white Pop-up windows (were I normally can put in all the necessary details) opens. It even is not possible to close that pop-up and I have to open task manager to close the zoom-app.

Everything else on the computer works as ever. No problems with internet connection, no problems with any programm or system functions.

I never had such a problem before.

What I tried: I used the uninstall program (the uninstaller gave no feedback, just disappeared. I checked: the program wasn’t there anymore), installed the App anew - same problem., checked event viewer but didn’t find anything that could be relevant.

Then I tried to click the Meeting button (in the Zoom-App) after I planned the Meeting in the Web-App, got an error code that I sent with the relevant button. Don’t know if someone ever reads it - got no message till now.

Zoom is a wonderful program, as long as you have no problems but to really get reactions to problems, bugs and feature requests is …. I some times was really dissapointed. Hope I get some help here!

Hi @Love-for-God -

Here are detailed troubleshooting steps to fix the white pop-up window issue when trying to schedule a meeting in the Zoom desktop app:

Step 1: Verify Zoom Version

  1. Open the Zoom desktop app.
  2. Click your profile picture → Check for Updates.
  3. If an update is available, install it and restart Zoom.
    • Many UI rendering issues (like blank or white windows) are fixed in newer versions.

Step 2: Use Web Portal as a Temporary Workaround

If the desktop app still fails:

  1. Go to https://zoom.us/meeting/schedule.
  2. Schedule your meeting there.
  3. The meeting will sync to your Zoom client and calendar.

Step 3: Contact Zoom Support

If none of the above resolves the issue:

Thank you Tash_Bamaguer

In the meantime I got a lot of help and tried many things myself, but so far nothing helped still the same problem.

Probably a problem with the latest Windows update.

I redid restore points, deleteted updates and did them again - no change. Now I am in the process of cleaning the Windows system with DISM and SFC. Maybe I can find something there.

Till now I repaired some COM problems I found in event viewer. It made the Notebook a bit faster but it didn’t help with the Zoom stuff.

I also extended some access rights for the user I am working with - no change.

As soon as I find a solution I’ll come back here to tell.

Hi Tash_Bamaguer

I could fix it!!!!!!!!!!

Went back to a restore point in January. After restart of Windows I had to fix some other programs, especially Firefox (didn't run anymore). Had to go back to an old Version.

And then from there I updated everything else to the newest version: first Windows then all the other programs (where necessary) and in the end Zoom-App. Halleluja it's running again (at least till now) without any problems.

What caused it:

  • after an update of Windows the notebook was very, very, very,.... slow
  • so I redid the Windows Update and worked sometime without Windows updates (nearly a month); WIndows did more or less fine after that but not as fast as before (got better with the time)
  • then I again did a windows update (for Windows 10) and the notebook was as fast as before and all programs worked fine, except ...
  • I didn't work with Zoom-App for two or three days after the latest update of Windows
  • so I first made no connection with it, when Zoom didn't work ok
  • but interrestingly a later redoing of that Update made no difference with the Zoom installation and latest update of Zoom-App
  • and even dism and sfc didn't help even so some corrupted files were found and repaired
  • and all that other stuff like uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom-App didn't help; and all I mentionend during the help process of you all
  • anywhy, now all looks fine and I will do a system backup and a restore point (was really lucky to have that back till the point where Zoom-App worked again

Thanks a lot for your patience and help.

Sincerely
Xaver
