During my last zoom meeting, I experienced intermittent pausing. I generally use my laptop, which has been working for years. What is causing this?

    Hello @Cinda Herring,

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We’re glad to have you here.

Intermittent pausing during Zoom meetings is often related to network connectivity issues, high CPU usage, or background applications interfering with Zoom’s performance. Here are some common causes and troubleshooting steps:

    1. Network Connection: Unstable or slow internet can cause video and audio to freeze or pause. Try connecting via a wired Ethernet connection or move closer to your Wi-Fi router.
    2. High CPU Usage: Other applications running in the background (like browsers, video editors, or antivirus scans) can consume system resources. Close unnecessary programs before joining your meeting.
    3. Zoom Updates: Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Zoom client, as updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes.
    4. Hardware Acceleration: Sometimes, enabling or disabling hardware acceleration in Zoom’s video settings can help, depending on your system.
    5. Background Processes: Check for system updates or background downloads that might be using bandwidth or processing power.

Let us know if it helps or if you need further assistance.
