Participant tries to join and gets a message that they do not have access

Hello,

I occasionally have students tell me that they try to click on a Zoom link and get a message that they do not have access. The Zoom link is my Zoom personal meeting ID. They get the link via Calendly when they set up an appointment with me on Calendly. Again, it’s my Personal Meeting ID (PMI) on Zoom, so it should always work. 90% of the time it does, but every once in a while I get a student email that they tried to join but don’t have access.

I’m wondering if this is a problem with my link, my calendly integration (again, works 90% of the time), or their Zoom. Perhaps they are not logged in as a Zoom user? Or is it something else. And how do I prevent it? (My employer requires that people must be registered Zoom users to join a Zoom meeting, so I cannot toggle off that requirement.)

They do not get an invalid link error message. They get a message about access.

Thank you!
