Participant Name Font Size Must Be Customizable for Professional & Large Venue Usage

This is a serious usability limitation that directly affects professional and large-scale Zoom usage.

In auditoriums, temples, conferences, and large meeting halls where Zoom is displayed on LED walls or projectors, participant names are not readable from a distance due to the fixed and small font size. When managing sessions with hundreds of participants, this creates operational confusion and reduces overall professionalism during live events.

Zoom is widely used for enterprise and large community gatherings, yet there is currently no option to adjust participant name font size. This basic display control is essential for real-world environments beyond small laptop or mobile screens.

A customizable font size option (small/medium/large or scalable slider) for participant names should be implemented as a priority. Without this, Zoom becomes difficult to use effectively in large venues, and many organizers are forced to explore alternative platforms that offer better display customization.

Requesting the product and UX team to address this limitation urgently and provide a practical solution for large-format display scenarios.

Zoom has an API where this can be addressed by professional developers. You might want to address your issue in the developers forum.

hi @butanijay22 ,

I am creating an overlay app at the moment and will incorporate your idea into my app.
Of course I expect you really want the admin for the event to be able to increase the font on all speakers, so this is not going to be simple, but I will incorporate this into the next release.

Please like and mark as the solution if this helps

All the best

As someone with poor vision I also find this problematic in the Windows app. While I am on camera I have to lean into my screen to read the tiny name of participants. This seems like a very simple feature to have added to the meeting app.

Windows has accessibility tools, One of those tools is a magnifier that can be set to a specific window size that can be turned on and off and moved over the screen to enlarge the display inside the window. Go to settings > accessibility > magnifier to learn more and to make the settings.
