Outlook with Zoom meeting sent invitations unprompted to the attendees

This happened this Saturday morning. We have a meeting in the calendar already set for this Tuesday with the proper Zoom invitations.  Suddenly, on Saturday morning, Zoom initiated an email invitation again to the same participants. Any one else experienced this and can shed a light to whats going on?
