Opening a meeting

Hi there - every time I go to start a meeting in zoom it always goes to a box saying 'installing updates; and then nothing happens and I've got to close it all down and try and start the meeting up again. This happens if either I am attempting to start my own meeting or someone else's. Why? What can I do to change this?
