As a temporary fix to this issue, I took of the automatic and added the reminder feature so I would not forget it when starting a new meeting. Now I never lose the summary. Yea!

I am having the same issue where the automatic setting does not always record the meeting summary. I still have to manually click the AI button which defeats the reason to have the setting turned on in the first place.

Same thing happened to me -- and to another business associate with her account. Getting kind of common, apparently! Looks like we shouldn't count on the "automatic" setting when we start a meeting. I suggest always manually starting it.

And under that I see these two check boxes:

Turn on meeting summary automatically when meetings start

Send an email notification when sharing with users

So I deactivated the automatic. But how do I add the Remind feature? Where is that?

Thank you all. I will use the reminder feature as well because I did have the automatic feature selected and it is not consistent. I've also placed a ticket with support because Zoom needs to be aware.

Thank you for placing the ticket. I meant to do that! Did it once before on another issue and the support group did listen and corrected. Let's hope they do the same with this.

And btw, I discovered you don't have to deactivate the automatic feature. But also setting the reminder will ensure you start the summary.

a year later and this is still not fixed. When I go into the meeting info, the check box is blue but it has a dashed line and not the checkmark. Good idea on the reminder. So annoying.
