Need to see attendees while screen sharing

I teach virtual classes and need to see the students while I am screen sharing.  Until a few weeks ago, this was not a problem.  I have watched various videos for help but I do not have the option of “Show Video Panel” when clicking on “More”.  Please advise.  Thanks!

    Hello,

Here’s how to restore the ability to see your students’ videos while screen sharing in Zoom:

Recent Zoom updates changed how the video panel behaves during screen sharing.
If you no longer see “Show Video Panel” under the More (…) menu, it’s likely because:

    • The video panel is currently hidden or docked.
    • You’re using Dual Monitors or Side‑by‑Side Mode, which changes how participant videos appear.
    • The Zoom window is not in full screen or the share toolbar is minimized.

    Enable Side-by-Side Mode

    1. Start your meeting and begin screen sharing.
    2. Move your mouse to the top of the screen to reveal the Zoom toolbar.
    3. Click View Options → Side‑by‑Side: Speaker or Side‑by‑Side: Gallery.
      • This displays your shared content on one side and participant videos on the other.
    4. Drag the divider between the shared screen and video panel to resize.

    Check Dual-Monitor Settings

    If you use two displays:

    1. Go to Zoom → Settings → General.
    2. Make sure Use dual monitors is unchecked (unless you want videos on the second screen).
    3. Restart Zoom and test screen sharing again.
