AI-generated translated voice.Dear Product Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am an SEO professional from India, and my work involves attending regular online meetings with clients from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and many other countries. These meetings are an essential part of my job, and I truly appreciate how your platform makes global collaboration possible.

However, I would like to share a challenge that I believe millions of professionals around the world face.

Many of us possess the technical knowledge, experience, and problem-solving skills needed to work with international clients, but English is not our native language. We can understand English reasonably well, yet speaking fluently during live meetings often becomes stressful. As a result, talented professionals may hesitate to speak, lose confidence, or even be judged based on language rather than their expertise.

With the rapid advancement of AI, I believe your platform has an incredible opportunity to remove this barrier.

I would like to suggest a feature for real-time AI speech translation during meetings.

For example:

A participant speaks naturally in their native language, such as Hindi.

AI instantly translates the speech into fluent, natural English and delivers it to the other participants.

When the client replies in English, the response is translated back into the participant's preferred language in real time.

Users could choose whether to use their own voice with translated subtitles or an AI-generated translated voice.

This feature would not only benefit Hindi speakers but also professionals who speak Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and many other languages.

Such a feature could transform international communication by allowing people to be evaluated based on their knowledge, ideas, and expertise instead of their fluency in a foreign language. It would make global collaboration more inclusive and help businesses connect with talented professionals regardless of the language they speak.

I genuinely believe this could become one of the most impactful AI-powered features for online meetings and significantly improve the experience for millions of users worldwide.

Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion. I sincerely hope your team will consider it for future product development.

Kind regards,

T

Zoom already has the capability to translate to English via closed captions. Voicing translation to english or Hindi is possible via a live human translator being heard on a separate audio channel for each language. As far as having multiple languages translate in real time there are plugins such as JotMe (https://www.jotme.io/blog/best-zoom-translation) that can translate and transcribe in 10 languages simultaneously. However, all these AI plugins will translate to text, which is more useful, not to a voice.

f you use translated audio (available with certain Zoom plans and settings), an AI-generated voice translates the speech into another language. In that mode, the translated audio can replace or be played instead of the original speaker's voice, depending on the settings.
