Missing setting for audio notifications for ONLY when someone enters the waiting room

There needs to be a separate audio notification specifically for when a participant enters the Waiting Room.

There appears to be some confusion around this feature request because multiple reports asking for a Waiting Room audio notification have been marked solved by pointing to Zoom's existing join/leave sound setting.

That is not the requested functionality.

 

That setting produces notifications for people joining/leaving the meeting generally. What I (and apparently many other users based on the number of similar posts) need is much simpler:

• Play a sound for the host/co-hosts when someone enters the Waiting Room.

That’s it. Simple. Problem solved.

This is especially important after a meeting has started. Once you're presenting, screen sharing, or focused on the conversation, it's extremely easy to miss the small visual notification that someone has entered the Waiting Room. It disappears quickly, and someone can then sit there indefinitely because nobody realizes they're waiting to be admitted. We get calls, texts, emails, etc from people stuck in Waiting Rooms. 
 

Turning on sounds for everyone joining/leaving the meeting isn't a reasonable substitute. In many meetings, that would mean unnecessary sounds whenever participants come and go. The important event requiring the host's attention is specifically someone entering the Waiting Room and needing to be admitted.

Please add a simple toggle such as:

☑ Play a sound when someone enters the Waiting Room

Ideally this could be limited to the host/co-hosts. Whether it's an account setting, meeting setting, or in-meeting option isn't particularly important—the missing functionality is the ability to receive an audible alert for Waiting Room arrivals without enabling sounds for every participant joining or leaving the meeting.

There are many reports of this same problem online. The existing join/leave sound setting is not equivalent and shouldn't be considered a solution to requests for a Waiting Room-only notification.
