Minimized Video Window cannot stay on top of other windows in Ubuntu Linux

Hi,

I'm using Zoom on Ubuntu Linux. I just updated to the latest version, but in this version, the minimised video window can no longer stay on top of other windows. This changed from the previous version I was using - I could keep the small video window on top of other windows, which I found very very useful.

OS: Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS

Zoom version: 5.17.11 (3835)

I tried to find a relevant setting but couldn't. Can we bring this feature back please?

Thank you.

This has been my experience as well. It also no longer moves to the current workspace when switching workspaces.

Does anyone from Zoom monitor this kind of stuff? Is there any place to submit a big report?

That is very painful...

This is an issue for me as well and I'd like to find a solution so I can multi task while in meetings and also needing to view other windows.

This is still an issue on Ubuntu 24.04.

It used to be that when the window minimized, that minimized window would appear on all workspaces.

Now, however, if say you switch to the workspace on the right accidentally because you really meant to go to the left one, that first mistaken switch will minimize the window on that right workspace, and because it is no longer on all visible workspaces, when you switch to the left workspace (twice left as you first need to return to the original), you now have to switch back 2 workspaces to the right to get to that minimized window.  We’ve been suffering through this horrible UX for 2 years with no end to the issue.

Why won’t Zoom look into this?
