No matter what I do, try different speakers, any speakers inbuilt speakers in my mac or microphone, it always tells me that your microphone isnt working please try a different one but none of them work. Both work perfectly fine before the meeting when i click test yet they dissapear the moment i join a meeting. I tried reinstalling and updating nothing works

if your microphone works in the Zoom audio test but stops working as soon as you join a meeting, it's usually related to macOS permissions, the audio device selected in Zoom, or how the meeting audio is being joined. Since you've already reinstalled Zoom and updated your Mac, I'd recommend checking the following:

  1. Open your Mac's System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone, and make sure Zoom is allowed to access your microphone.
  2. Join the meeting using Computer Audio (not "Don't connect to audio" or phone audio).
  3. Once in the meeting, click the arrow next to the microphone icon and verify the correct microphone is selected.
  4. Close any other apps that may be using the microphone (such as Teams, FaceTime, or other conferencing apps).
  5. Restart Zoom after confirming the permission changes.

If the issue still occurs, could you confirm:

  • Which macOS version you're using?
  • Whether this happens in all meetings or only a specific meeting?
  • Are you seeing a specific error message, or does the microphone simply disappear?
