Meeting with opened breakout rooms

Hi,

With the new feature added with v6.0.10, I can now configure the default settings of breakout rooms beforehand— thanks for that.

Unfortunately, they still have to be "opened" by a Host or Co-Host every single time.

Could you please add the option to have the rooms opened at the start of the meeting?

Alternatively, adding the option to allow non-hosts to start them would also work 🙂

Sure, let me try to explain the situation:
Our church started using and loving Zoom during the pandemic.

The community uses it to meet, talk and work on communal and social projects.
But at least once a day, we need to split up into project-groups to not disturb each other after talking. So, as you can imagine, getting those "hi, could you please start breakout rooms for us"-calls every day for years, is getting annoying.

Zoom do expect the account owner to be part of meetings, and the license does not work

as an open working communal space as you describe, but here are some suggestions

You may want to look at host keys to get control. So that person can take control.
Make sure somebody can log in as the host and be in the meeting

If you have the groups defined in advance, then a co-host may call the groups into breakouts
