I am delivering a training session tomorrow and one of my attendees is deaf. Is there a live transcribe option please?

Hi @iwood16

Yes, we have a live transcription feature that provides captions during your meeting.

Before your meeting:

  • Enable the setting in your Zoom account:
  • Sign in to your Zoom account on the web.
  • Click on Settings.
  • Navigate to "Meeting" and then "In Meeting (Advanced)".
  • Under "Closed Captioning", turn on the toggle switch for "Enable live transcription service to show transcript on the side panel in-meeting".
  • You can also enable "Save Captions" here if you want attendees to save the transcript.

During your meeting:

  • Start your meeting as the host.
  • Click on the "Live Transcript" button at the bottom of the meeting window (you might need to expand the window to see it).
  • Select "Enable Auto-Transcription".
  • This will display the live transcript as captions for all participants, including your deaf attendee.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!

Warm regards
