Linux / Wayland Zoom Screen Sharing: 2nd share results in black screen

Experiencing a regression since upgrading from 6.2.x to 6.3.10.7150. When I share my screen, the first time it works as expected. The second time, it just shares a black screen. If I force-kill the zoom client, and re-join the meeting, I can share again.

Managed to downgrade, not a regression.

Happens uniquely with Zoom. Slack huddle does not exhibit the problem. Something wrong with how Zoom closes the Wayland pipe maybe?

I hadn't noticed the bug before, and maybe a new Wayland version brought it about, IDK.

Ubuntu 24.10 / NVidia (OSS drivers) / Wayland.

As a workaround, I'm able to use obs virtual camera to share my screen reliably.

Really annoying, though. I don't have this issue with Slack huddle screen sharing or OBS.

Alright, last reply for the series here.

I recorded a screen capture of the issue, I know these are more useful and probably provide data that isn't conveyed well in text medium.

Yep the same thing happens to everyone apparently.. the SECOND time you share your screen, zoom captures a black screen!

I found that if you quit zoom and restart it, you can share again.. Once of course!

Zoom better fix this soon! I'm using the latest version of zoom under Fedora 42.
