Laggy computer performance when hosting and sharing a screen

When I am hosting a meeting and sharing my screen my computer performance gets really laggy.   It takes a long time to open documents or change screens.    I have optimized the perfromance on my computer.  I have cleaned up the disk space and it is still very laggy and would appreciate advice.

    hi @HeatherK2

Yes, screen sharing is a performance intensive task. Especaiiily on lower powered systems.

Can you add, or do you have a second screen on your machine?

I find it is less effort for zoom to share an entire screen that tyring to share a window on a screen.

Also remember that having lots of browser windows can take a lot of processing.

If you are not sharing your video while sharing your screen, you could turn that off to reduce the workload for zoom?

Please like and mark as the solution if this helps

    All the best
