Issues with embedded passwords -

I am having issues generating a link with embedded passwords.  We have three zoom licenses and two work fine.  On the third, the link that is generated does not include the password information.

I have followed the instructions in this support article:

Embedding meeting passcode in invite link

https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0065979

my profile for this account has the embed passcode in link turned on.  However, I am unable to get the embedded password in the personal meeting space.

Thanks!

Hello @tswright,

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.

You can try the steps below:

  • Ensure the meeting is scheduled after enabling the embed passcode setting.
  • Double-check that the setting is enabled for the specific user/license having the issue.
  • If the problem persists only with the Personal Meeting ID, consider scheduling a new meeting (not using PMI) to see if the embedded passcode appears
  • Since two licenses work fine, compare the settings of the problematic account to the working ones, including security and meeting configurations.
  • Update Zoom Client and Profile Settings. Sometimes, outdated Zoom clients or cached settings can cause issues. Have the user log out and back in, or reinstall Zoom to refresh settings.

If after these checks the issue persists, you can submit a support ticket with specific account details, which will help identify if this is a backend or license-specific problem.a

Thanks @MGSR , The issue persisted until your step #3 - Scheduling a new meeting with an embedded passcode somehow forced the Personal Meeting ID to do the same.

Thank you!
