Issue HeyGen integration with Zoom

Hey all,

I’m working on a prototype app where HeyGen will talk to people to collect some data.

Here’s the problem:
• I’m the host of a Zoom meeting, but I’m scheduling it for another user (a guest)
• I send the meeting link to HeyGen so the bot can join using this same account that booked the meeting
• When the HeyGen avatar enters the meeting, Zoom shows a pop-up that the host needs to approve
• But the host (me) is not in the meeting, so no one approves the pop-up
• Because of this, HeyGen can’t hear the guest

I’ve tried setting up the meeting in different ways, but I can’t find a solution.

Is there any Zoom setting that can fix this?

Hi,
You can solve this by scheduling the meeting with the waiting room feature disabled and enabling the setting to allow participants to join before the host.
Another idea would be that you can designate an alternative host when scheduling, allowing someone else to start and manage the meeting..

Hello, could you share some information, how you integrating HeyGen in Zoom? Maybe some useful links or advises. I will be very grateful. I am trying to integrate it with Python with LiveKit, but i have no success. Thanks

The issue is regarding this part:
⚠️ Important: Make sure to select Approve Recording in Zoom for the avatar to function correctly. Also, remind future meeting hosts to approve this setting too.
