Is mac sierra supported by zoom client? I see high sierra and the link to release notes.
These release notes don't mention mac OS by number or name.
what version of the client do I download for Sierra?

Yes, the Zoom desktop app for macOS is supported on macOS 10.10 and higher. MacOS Sierra is 10.12, so it should be well over the min OS version. This article details more system requirements: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362023-Zoom-system-requirements-Windows-macOS-Linux
To download, go to the Zoom downloads page: https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting
There you will click on the Download option under the Desktop Client option.
