Question

iPhone Airplay Screen Sharing Not Working with Sequoia Mac OSX. Anyone else?

After updating Zoom Workplace to version 7.2.2 on my Macbook Pro with Sequoia, the iPhone Screen Share option via Airplay is not showing the Zoom-Device Name.

I’ve signed out.

Quit applications.

Restarted the computer.

Any other Macbook Pro users having this issue?

Hi @BetsySabatini,

Thank you for the detailed report, and sorry for the trouble this is causing with your iPhone Screen Share setup.

To confirm, we did find at least one other report describing the same issue — the "Zoom-[Device Name]" AirPlay destination not appearing on the iPhone's Screen Mirroring list after updating Zoom Workplace to 7.2.2 on a MacBook Pro running macOS Sequoia. That said, it hasn't yet been confirmed as a widespread issue tied specifically to the 7.2.2 update, so we'd like to rule out a few local settings first before treating it as a software defect.

Since you've already tried signing out, quitting the app, and restarting your computer, could you please also check the following:

  1. Local Network Permission: Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network, and confirm that "Zoom Workplace Airhost" is toggled on.
  2. AirPlay Receiver Toggle: Go to System Settings → General → AirDrop & Continuity → AirPlay Receiver, and try turning AirPlay Receiver off, then back on.
  3. Network Check: Confirm your iPhone and MacBook Pro are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and that there's no client/network isolation or firewall rule blocking AirPlay/mDNS discovery between the two devices.

If the Zoom-Device Name still doesn't appear after these checks,  in the meantime you can share your screen via a wired (cable) connection as a workaround.

Hope this helps!
