Intermittent audio issue when joining Microsoft Teams meetings from Zoom Rooms (Poly X50)
Hi Zoom Community,
We’re experiencing an intermittent audio issue when joining Microsoft Teams meetings from Zoom Rooms, specifically on Poly X50 devices.
What we’re seeing:
- When a Zoom Room joins a Teams meeting, the remote Teams participants can see video from the room, but cannot hear the people in the room
- Audio from the Teams side into the room works
- This does not happen consistently — some meetings work as expected, others do not
- The issue has occurred across multiple rooms, not just a single device
What we’ve tested so far:
- Joining via calendar invite (room invited to the meeting)
- Joining via Teams meeting ID
- Testing with internal users and a third‑party/external participant
- Same behavior observed regardless of join method or participant type
We’re mainly trying to understand whether:
- Others are experiencing similar one‑way audio issues when joining Teams meetings from Zoom Rooms
- This is a known interoperability issue or limitation
- There are any recommended settings, logs, or patterns to look for given the inconsistency
