Integrating iCal on MacBook

How can I integrate Zoom for Mac with iCal so that when I schedule a new meeting using the Zoom app, it automatically opens iCal? This was a feature I've been using for years on my old MacBook, but on the most recent version of Zoom Version: 6.3.6 (47101) it appears to no longer be an option.

Hello @DJDoroni,

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're excited to have you here.

You may need to reintegrate iCalendar with your account.
To do this, open the app and navigate to Calendar > Settings > Advanced Settings.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Hi Mark - Thank you for your reply. In the version of the Zoom app that I am using on my iPad 6.3.6, when I navigate to Calendar in the app, it pulls up my calendar. There is no option for Settings there. And when I go to the Settings menu, there isn’t anything that says Advanced Settings.

Hello, it appears that my prior reply to this reply was removed. I don’t seem to have the menu options you list above. When I navigate to Settings>General>Meetings, there’s a message that all calendar settings have been migrated to>Mail & Calendars. But when I go there, the only options there are Google, Exchange and Microsoft 365. There is no option for iCal. If iCal is no longer an option, it would be great if Zoom could be transparent about that.

I'm sorry for the late response and confusion, the screenshot provided was from a macbook. From your iPad kindly go to your iPad settings > apps > zoom > calendars.

Le me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

I too am having this issue. I do not see the setting on my Mac computer.

I've gone into Zoom on my computer and in a browser window and do not see any way to add my iCal mac calendar. Can you assist please.

Mine was just solved by deleting Zoom mail. So if you have Zoom mail - try deleting it!

I don't have Zoom mail Ase, so that's not the issue. It used to just add the event right onto my calendar, and now it won't.

Hello @381design,

We do apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

While the “iCal” option is still visible in the Zoom macOS desktop app, we want to clarify that this feature has never been fully supported by Zoom. Although it may have worked for some users in the past, recent updates to Zoom and macOS have introduced inconsistencies with its functionality.

Because of this, our backend team is actively working on developing a fully supported integration to ensure a more reliable and seamless experience moving forward.

We’ll be sure to share more details as soon as we have updates available.

In the meantime, we recommend using one of our fully supported calendar integrations—Google Calendar, Office 365, or Exchange—for the most consistent performance.

Thanks again for your understanding and for choosing Zoom.

I don't use Google, Office 265, or Exchange calendars. I only use ical. Now what?
