I organise a weekly Zoom meeting for people all around the world to practise different languages, at the moment I just post the same repeating Zoom link (and passcode) on all our social media channels and that's how people join, however I think this a) leaves me a bit open to bad actors joining the meetings and causing havoc; b) if I ever wanted to make this a paid meeting, or send out recurring emails, I don't have anyone's contact details to get in contact. I'm just interested to hear any ideas on how better to structure this in terms of a) safety and control; and b) going forward being able to encourage donations or offering other services to people who attend. Should I for example set up registration on Zoom first for people to participate?

I'm experiencing an issue when setting up a virtual background on my laptop. My appearance becomes very poor, as if half of me is transparent and filled with the virtual background. This wasn't the case on my previous laptop. On my previous laptop's Zoom, my appearance and the background were very neat, with no parts of me being cut off by the virtual background filter.I've checked and found that there's an option to select the color to be filtered for the virtual background, but the results are still poor, forcing me to use a green screen to achieve a good filter cut.For your information, I use the latest zoom version, there is not update waiting, and my previous laptop had an Intel Core i5 8th gen, while my current laptop has an Intel Core 3 100u (not the core i3). Hiya so I'm having a problem during online music classes where I am unable to hear the teacher playing music due to the background noises being suppressed however I am the only one in the meeting who cannot hear the music! Other members in the meeting can, and the teacher has the original audio for musicians setting on. It's like my computer is the only one that doesn't know this setting has been changed. Struggling to find a fix for this as everywhere is just suggesting to make sure they have original audio on which they do! And I can hear the music when joining on my phone just not on my laptop. What can I do?

Instructions say to check what version zoom you have go to your profile picture and click help and then about to get to that option.When I go to my profile picture there is no option for help.  Any suggestions welcome. Trying to determine what is the latest version and download it if I don't have it.  When I go to the download center nothing happens when I try to download 5.9.

Good day!  I am experiencing an issue when opening the zoom. When I open zoom for a meeting, it automatically open different windows. My face in a different window, and the other participants in another windows. May I know how to fix this issue? 

Hello,I do not have a 'reactions' button on the bottom of my screen anymore.  It may have disappeared since the last update, but I am not 100% sure.I am in the middle of a two-day meeting as an attendee.  I have an account through my workplace.I cannot find a way to indicate a 'raised hand'.  I can submit a screenshot , but I can't see an option to attach it.  I use a MacBook Pro, and I believe I was on Chrome today, but I also have Safari as an option.Suggestions? Thank you!

Hi, I recently updated to Fedora 35 with GNOME 41. This GNOME release restricts the screenshot API which Zoom has used for screen sharing on Wayland, so the screen sharing functionality no longer works (see here on Ask Fedora). I require screen sharing for school, and I'm sure many others have a similar requirement/system configuration. With Wayland increasingly becoming a de facto standard on Linux, it is crucial that Zoom support Wayland screen sharing.

I'm getting a message that I need to update to version 5.17.5 or newer.  However, when I download the update, I get version 5.16.6.  How do I get 5.17.5?

I like to record Zoom meetings for podcasts, but my computer has lately been restarting itself randomly. I'm worried that if it does this while I am recording, I will lose all the material I have recorded. Is there a way I can prevent this from happening in the event my computer does restart spontaneously during a recording? I am hosting a meeting that I probably should have set up as a webinar. I need to send everyone a thank you and follow up email but I can’t figure out how to do that on zoom or how to get all of the emails that have registered and out them in outlook or gmail. Please help.  

Zoom has been awesome for remote work, but it has always been annoying that participants can only see chat comments posted after they join a call. Because of this... Links to meeting minutes get posted to chat multiple times at the start of meetings so people who joined later can see them. When introductions are done in chat, people joining a few minutes late don't see introductions they missed. When switching a Zoom call between phone and laptop, chat history if lost. If you get dropped from a call and re-join, you lose all of the chat history. It's not clear who can see which parts of the chat when not everyone was on the call from the beginning. Ideally, the chat history for a Zoom call (i.e., all chat comments to everyone since the call started) would be visible to everyone else, regardless of when they joined (or re-joined) the call. Is there a way to automatically export meeting data, comparing invited guests with actual participants, without using VLOOKUP in Excel? I just spent a great deal of time adding contacts in the Personal Contacts List because I didn't want to link to my gmail contact list.  But, when scheduling a meeting, it doesn't seem to pull data from the Personal Contacts List.  What am I missing?  What's the point of a Personal Contact List if you can't use it to invite people to a zoom meeting?

The URL for a regular meeting has disappeared.・Can I go back to a past meeting and set the same URL as a regular meeting again?・Why did the URL disappear even though I never had a regular meeting?

Hello!I am trying to generate a meeting registration report, and when I enter the meeting ID or the date of the meeting it shows no data. It also shows no data as a result when I search for meetings I have already generated registration reports for in the past. Why is the registration report not generating properly? I am logged in and have done this same process several times in the past.Thanks! Abbey

Can I set a recurring meeting...only for to "the first two" Thursdays of every month?Not weekly, not biweekly.. the first two only, and using the same dial in??We should be able to set this up ourselves.  I do not want to confuse my members .. Help. 

As is stated, I am using an application to share pictures and videos to a second monitor, and am using zoom to share that second monitor. However sometimes after sharing, and sometimes not even after sharing, i cannot click back into zoom without the 2nd screen going black. Anyone have any idea as to why this might be or if there is a fix? 

I understand that we can no longer schedule recurring meetings using our personal meeting id.  Until recently, I never experienced this limitation.  I would just like to register my disappointment with this change.  My clients all know that all of my Outlook calendar invitations have always carried the same personal i.d., and now I cannot continue on that basis.  Zoom says our personal I.D. should be reserved for "unscheduled meetings" but nearly all of my meetings are recurring.  I wish we could return to the way this worked before.
