Incorrect or Incomplete Meeting Details trying to join Zoom Meeting from Teams Room device

We have Teams Meeting rooms from several vendors and they’re all having this issue.  The join buttons shows fine, the complete Meeting URL with Meeting ID and Passcode shows in the room’s Outlook calendar invite, but the room device gets the “Incorrect or Incomplete Meeting Details Please provide the correct Meeting ID and Passcode” error when trying to join.  I can “Join with an ID” successfully.  I have an endpoint home to eliminate our network and it does it there as well.  I’ve gone round and round with our sys admins to make sure mimecast isn’t rewriting the URLs but, like I said, it is not being re-written.  Also, webex works.  I have tried various different ways of creating the invite, from the Zoom Workplace to the Outlook Plug in and I even tried manually typing in the Meeting URL, Meeting ID, and Passcode from one invite to another but it still doesn’t work.  I see several others on the internet with similar issues, but no resolution.  Any ideas?

If anyone else out there has this issue the fix that we FINALLY found that seems to work is to enable “Embed passcode in invite link for one-click join” in the Zoom profile/admin settings.  This encrypts the passcode and puts it in the URL so the MTR is able to read it.  Apparently Android based Teams MTRs are unable to read the passcode in Zoom’s invite.

    Hi @Travis H,

Thank you for joining and participating in the community!

This specific “Incorrect or Incomplete Meeting Details / provide the correct Meeting ID and Passcode” error when joining from the Outlook calendar button is commonly caused by the Zoom meeting being rescheduled/updated, but the calendar item (or embedded join details) not fully refreshing for the room join workflow.

Try this fix on one affected meeting invite:

    1. Open the meeting on the room resource calendar (or the organizer’s Outlook calendar) and click Edit.
    2. Update the Zoom meeting settings (any small change is fine), then Save the meeting so the Zoom details refresh in the invite. 1

After saving, let the room re-sync its calendar and try the Join button again.

    Hi @aluyun,

Thank you for the response.  I tried opening the calendar invite and making a change, (I changed a comma (,) to an exclamation point (!) and then clicked “send update” but there was no change, still got the same error.  One thing to note is that this is happening on every invite, not just rescheduled/updated ones.

I did happen to click “Change Settings” and the Zoom scheduler popped up.  I changed the Meeting ID from Generated ID to Personal Meeting ID and let it update and then clicking Join from the Teams room worked like it’s supposed to.  I tried changing it back and it broke again.  I tried manually adding a passcode to the Personal Meeting ID and it broke again, so it appears to be an issue with the Teams room reading the Zoom passcode.  I also tried switching from the default of html to plain text as well as rich text but neither worked.  Any ideas?
