Imported meeting ID not showing in the new site

The meetings links imported (using ID) from another site/meeting are no longer accessible in the new site, hence, participants can’t access previous meeting recordings. How can I reinstate the links? They are still available in the original site.

    Hi @Kiprono Langat,

Thank you for joining Zoom community! Regarding your query, if those recording links were created under the original Zoom site/account, they generally won’t “carry over” just by importing/using the Meeting ID on a new site. Recording links are tied to where the recording is stored (the host/account that owns it) and the sharing permissions set there.

What you can do to reinstate access:

    1. Share from the original site (where the recordings still exist)
    • In the original host account, go to Recordings (cloud recordings).
    • Open the recording, click Share, and use the shareable link.
    • Make sure the sharing settings allow your participants to view (for example, not restricted to only signed-in users on that original account, if your attendees are now on a different site/account).
    1. If the meeting link itself is “inactive/expired” If you’re trying to reuse an old meeting link (not the recording link), editing the meeting’s date/time to move it back to Upcoming Meetings can reactivate the meeting link. This helps for joining, but it doesn’t automatically “move” old recordings to the new site.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other Zoom related inquiries.
